Teaching Counting Scattered Sets
What it is
Six groups of objects to count, the numbers from 1 to 20 to trace and fill in, and two sets of dots to draw.
When a child is ready
Start as soon as the child says the counting words in order and touches one object for each word.
If they struggle
Move each object, or cover it with a finger, as it is counted. For the row of numbers, say them aloud together before writing the missing ones.
