Faith Readers · Weekly lesson format · Kindergarten–Grade 5

The K–5 reading path, one week at a time.

Faith Readers Weekly Lessons follow the same week-by-week reading sequence as the Phonics, Decoding, and Early Fluency textbook, packaged for families who would rather print a week than a book. Every weekly set holds five short daily lessons — Introduce, Reader, Handwriting, Apply, Check — and a preceptor guide that tells the adult exactly what to say and do. Browse by grade and quarter to see the skills, suggested time, lesson style, print details, and sample pages before you print.

Weekly lesson format · Who it is for

Is the weekly format right for your family?

Same reading sequence, different package. The textbook and the weekly lessons follow the same Faith Readers year; the difference is how the pages arrive and how each day is paced.

Choose it when

  • You prefer to print a week at a time — about 25 student pages and a short preceptor guide — instead of binding a full-year book.
  • You teach a co-op, classroom, or Sunday school and hand out weekly sets.
  • You like a fixed daily rhythm: one short lesson a day, Monday through Friday, ending with a check.

Look elsewhere when

  • You want the whole year in one book with quarter roadmaps and end-of-quarter checks — that is the Phonics, Decoding, and Early Fluency textbook. Most families choose one format, not both.
  • Your child needs targeted work on particular phonics patterns rather than a full program — Foundations to Fluency.
