Eight cards to a page, one unit at a time

Each printed card carries its reference, the Scripture in the King James Version, and an “I said it” box to tick. A Scripture too long for one card runs over several, each marked with its part: Nehemiah 8:10 takes two cards, Psalm 23 five, and Psalm 91 and 1 Corinthians 13 ten each. The pages follow the order of the program, from Unit 1.1, God Made Everything, to Unit 4.4, Last Things, and most units close with a few blank cards for a verse of your own.

How to use them

Print one unit, cut, and begin with one card

Print on cardstock if you have it, plain paper if you do not, and on one side only: the cards have no backs. Print the pages of a single unit (the list below gives each unit’s pages), cut along the dashed lines, and set all but one card aside. Read that card at a moment your family already shares, such as breakfast, the start of school, or bedtime, and say it together. When your child can say it from memory, the box is theirs to tick.

The verse cards of The Hidden Word

These are the cut-apart verse cards from the student packets of The Hidden Word, our free King James Scripture memory curriculum, gathered into one file. They work on their own for family worship, a Sunday school class, or a child’s own memory work. The curriculum adds what cards alone leave out: five sessions for each Scripture, a review path that brings a learned verse back the next day, then after three days, a week, two weeks and a month, and a parent guide that explains both.
