Core reading curriculum · Who it is for

Is this the right reading program for your child?

Phonics, Decoding, and Early Fluency is the spine of the Faith Readers family — the one program that teaches the whole year of reading. The companions around it each do one job.

Choose it when

  • You want one complete, sequenced reading curriculum: daily lessons from first sounds to fluent reading, taught from a scripted teaching guide.
  • Your child is beginning to read, or is moving through the elementary grades and needs a full year of instruction rather than a patch.
  • You want Scripture, Bible heroes, and virtues inside the reading lessons instead of added alongside them.

More Faith Schooling paths

  • Your child reads but keeps stumbling on a few phonics patterns — that is the job of Foundations to Fluency, which targets one pattern at a time at any age.
  • You would rather print a week at a time than a full-year book — the same weekly sequence is packaged as Faith Readers Weekly Lessons.
  • You are not sure where your child should start — HARVEST reading placement names the starting point in about 15 minutes and is open to everyone.

Questions parents ask

Do I need to buy anything else to teach reading?
No. The student textbook and the teaching guide are the programme. The decodable readers and the practice library reinforce it and are included with All Access, but a family can teach the full sequence from the textbook and guide alone.
What if my child is not in the grade the label says?
Place by skill, not by birthday. HARVEST is a free adaptive reading placement that runs in your browser and ends in a printable report naming a starting point. If the gap is one specific phonics pattern rather than a whole grade, Foundations to Fluency is arranged by pattern instead of by grade.
Can I read the lessons before I pay?
Yes, and that is deliberate. Every teaching guide is readable page by page in the browser without an account, along with eight sample pages of each grade’s student book. You can see the exact wording of a lesson before deciding.
How many weeks does a grade cover?
Weeks 2 through 36 — a full academic year at five lessons a week, with quarterly mastery checks. Because pacing is by mastery rather than by calendar, a child who needs longer on a week simply takes longer.
How does accreditation work?
Faith Schooling is an independent curriculum publisher for parent-led education. Families keep their own grades and records and may use these materials within any umbrella or state arrangement they choose.
