Discover Peter's Message

Acts 2:37-39 (KJV)

A free Bible study worksheet for ages 10–12 on Acts 2:37-39. A student investigates Peter's answer to What shall we do, records what it names, and supports each discovery from the text itself. This is the page where the collection teaches the New Birth directly, from the passage rather than around it.

Everything here is free to download, print and copy for your class. Open to everyone.

What the child does

Read Acts 2:37-39. Write your discoveries beside the pictures.

What it teaches

Distinguish commands, baptismal purpose and promise in Acts 2:38-39, explaining the words rather than only copying them.

Teacher notes

Teach the response in its setting: Peter proclaimed Jesus' death and resurrection. Apostolic doctrine relates repentance, Jesus-name water baptism, and receiving the Holy Ghost to the New Birth. This is a study organizer, not a rigid timeline of every conversion: Acts 10:44-48 records the Holy Ghost before water baptism. The water illustration represents immersion in progress; teach complete immersion. Flame-like shapes recall Acts 2:3 and are not taught as a required appearance in every Holy Ghost baptism.

Answer

Repent; Jesus Christ; Holy Ghost (2:38). They were pricked in their heart after hearing Peter (2:37). 'Turn toward God' is an explanation of repentance, not a KJV quotation. Prayer artwork is a visual aid and must not suggest that prayer alone replaces Acts 2:38.
