What it is
Mixed review pages pull several skills onto one page — counting, writing numerals, adding, subtracting, comparing — instead of drilling one at a time. Recalling a skill with no page of similar problems around it is what shows it is genuinely known.
When a child is ready
Use these after a group of skills has each been taught separately; they are review, not first teaching.
If they struggle
Do not reteach straight down the page. Sort the misses by skill first — four missed comparisons and one missed sum is a comparison problem, not a review problem — then reteach that one skill on its own page before coming back to the mixed set.
