The pages at this grade, most numerous first, are Write And Draw, Fix The Sentence, Sentence Builder, Letter Formation, Copywork, Read And Draw, Sort And Write, and others. Each sheet is marked with the week it was written for, weeks 1 to 35 of Phonics, Decoding, and Early Fluency, 1st Grade, so practice can follow the lesson it belongs to.

What the 1st Grade sheets practice, set by set

Capitalization and Punctuation: The fixes are the same two, capitals and end marks, in sentences of about six words, with a page for every week of the year.
Edit and Repair: Every page has a misspelled word to fix (snak for snack), with a missing space or end mark as the second repair.
Parts of Speech: Describing words join in: the child sorts words into nouns, verbs and adjectives and finds one kind at a time in short sentences such as God gave us a gift.
Sentence Building: The sentences are about six words and use blends (A black cat sat on the flag.); the three jobs are the same: build, grow, and tell a sentence from a piece of one.
Copywork: The verse runs to about six words, traced and copied, then put in order, completed or written from memory.
Sentence Writing: There are three pages a week all year: one on the week's story, one on a question such as What do you thank God for?, and one on the week's sound, each with a drawing and a sentence starter.
