Fractions with unlike denominators to compare, and equivalent fractions to complete in both directions, building up and simplifying down.
When a child is ready
Ready once the child finds a common denominator for two fractions.
If they struggle
Rewrite both fractions with the same denominator before comparing. To simplify, divide the top and the bottom by the same number.
