Teaching Interactive & Puzzles

What it is

Arithmetic hidden inside puzzle formats: dot-to-dot, mazes, matching, mystery pictures, counting scenes, roll-and-cover and spin-and-solve. The maths is the same as the practice pages; the packaging is what changes.

When a child is ready

Ready whenever the underlying skill is already secure. These are for consolidation and for the days when a plain practice page will not be started.

If they struggle

If the puzzle mechanics get in the way, do the first two answers together so the format is understood, then hand it over. When a child enjoys the picture but rushes the arithmetic, cover the puzzle and have them do the calculations on scrap paper first.
