Teaching Silent Letters Review
What it is
This review mixes the silent-letter spellings the child has already met, with no heading to say which is coming: kn and wr at the front of a word, mb and mn at the end, and gn at either end.
When a child is ready
Use it after kn, wr, mb, gn, and mn have each been practiced on their own.
If they struggle
Reading these is usually fine by this point; spelling them is what breaks down. Have the child sort a mixed list into columns by silent letter before writing anything, and use position as the check: wr and kn only ever start a word, while mb and mn fall at the end of one.
