Teaching Quarter Check
What it is
A scored page of twenty items: rounding to the nearest ten thousand, six-digit addition and subtraction, four-digit by one-digit multiplication, division by a two-digit number, and a story problem.
When a child is ready
Give it at the end of a quarter, once six-digit work and division by two digits have been taught.
If they struggle
For division by two digits, estimate the answer by rounding the divisor before working it, and check by multiplying back.
