Teaching Quarter Check

What it is

A scored page of twenty items: numbers written from hundreds, tens and ones, three-digit addition and subtraction, multiplication and division facts, and a story problem.

When a child is ready

Give it at the end of a quarter, once three-digit addition and subtraction have been taught.

If they struggle

Look at the wrong answers one by one: a wrong fact needs table practice, a wrong column needs carrying or borrowing practice.
