Teaching Solve and Color

What it is

Eight problems, two in each operation, whose answers are matched to colors in a key and used to color a design. The child then writes which part was easiest or hardest.

When a child is ready

Ready once the times tables and two-digit addition and subtraction are in place.

If they struggle

Solve all eight before picking up a crayon. Every answer should appear in the key; one that does not needs reworking.
