Acts 2:1-4; Acts 8:14-19; Acts 10:44-48; Acts 19:1-7 (KJV)
This free Sunday School lesson teaches four accounts in Acts where believers receive the Holy Ghost, and children read what Luke records in each one. It is written for ages 2 to 12, and children learn where each account happened, who received, and what the text says and does not say. Each age group gets six printable activities.

Children learn that at Pentecost they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and that Apostolic teaching recognises speaking in tongues as the initial sign of receiving. The lesson says plainly that the account in Acts 8 does not itself name tongues, rather than reading them in, and no child is pressed to perform anything.
Each age group has six different activities, chosen for what a child of that age can do. Read any one on screen before you print it.

Apostolic teaching recognizes tongues as the initial sign of receiving the Holy Ghost. Distinguish this theological reading of Acts from the explicit wording: Acts 8:14-19 does not itself name tongues. The Jerusalem preaching image is a generic teaching reminder when used with Acts 10, not an exact portrait of Cornelius' home. No pretended tongues or pressured child performance. Pictures are visual reminders; species, clothing, exact shapes and small scene details are reconstructions unless the passage states them. Offer pointing, oral answers or a scribe. Supervise all cutting. Read the cited verses before using the activities.
