Luke 23:26-56; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (KJV)
This free Sunday School lesson teaches Luke 23 and 1 Corinthians 15, where Jesus is crucified, says Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit, and is laid in a new tomb, and where Paul sets out the gospel he preached. It is written for ages 2 to 12, and children learn what Jesus said last, where He was buried, and what Paul said the gospel is. Each age group gets six printable activities.

Sunday School lesson
Children learn that Jesus truly died and was buried, and that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures. The cross is shown empty, and Paul's gospel does not stop at the death, so the lesson goes on to the resurrection.
Each age group has six different activities, chosen for what a child of that age can do. Read any one on screen before you print it.

One guide for all four age groups: the lesson objective, teaching guidance, a verified answer for every sheet above, the meaning of the King James words the sheets use, and preparation and safety notes. Each entry names the sheet it answers.
Use gentle empty-cross, cloth and tomb reminders rather than graphic depictions. Clearly state Jesus really died and was buried; the cross is shown empty for child suitability. Paul's complete gospel includes resurrection, so do not stop the gospel at death. Pictures are visual reminders; species, clothing, exact shapes and small scene details are reconstructions unless the passage states them. Offer pointing, oral answers or a scribe. Supervise all cutting. Read the cited verses before using the activities.
