Thirty sessions in three gates
Two hundred and four pages, a contents page, and thirty numbered sessions. Gate One, Come and See, is sessions one to three: what the Bible is, the story it tells from creation to John, and who Jesus claimed to be. Gate Two, The Response, is sessions four to eighteen: the human condition, the cross, how many Gods there are, who Jesus is, the name, believing, repentance, baptism, the Holy Ghost, and what to do. Gate Three, The Walk, is sessions nineteen to thirty: assurance, sin, prayer, walking in the Spirit, holiness, the gifts, the devil, the church, discernment, hope, and the commission.
How a session reads
The passage is printed, then examined
Sessions run six or seven pages. Passages are printed in full inside the session so nothing depends on finding a verse first, and each one is put through the same five questions — who is speaking, to whom, what happened, what was commanded, what did they do — before any explanation. Objections are stated plainly and answered from the text rather than avoided. Scripture quotations are from the King James Version, and session one shows how to read a reference, explains why that translation is used, and asks the reader to verify the citations for himself. A reading track runs alongside: Luke, then Acts, then the letters, one assignment per session.
Who it suits
A disciple reading with a teacher
This is the learner-facing edition, written to be taught by a believer six months old in God rather than by a scholar. It suits a home Bible study, a new-convert class, one-on-one discipleship, or a reader working through it alone. Nothing is asked of the reader in the first three sessions. Conversion falls at session eighteen, in the middle of the course, so the twelve sessions after it are about the life that follows. Read it in the browser or download the PDF; both are free, and the companion Teacher Guide follows the same thirty sessions with the depth for the person teaching. For children, The Way of Jesus — Junior Edition carries the same journey in thirty lessons written for a child to read with an adult.
